Kale bean soup from leftovers

I had leftover baked chicken with roasted potatoes. some Italian style frozen kale, pasta salad and decided to clear the fridge by make this soup.  I added a can of pinto beans, a bouillon cube, a tsp of sugar and 1 1/2 tsp of chili powder to give it a kick.  Then I boiled everything with 4 cups of water for 40 minutes.  It is good to not waste food and it was delicious!

I love kale in soups and stews. Aldi sells an organic kale. Lots of end bits, it's chopped. I still love it though in the pressure cooker with soups and stews. Super duper yummy.

I would love to have you cooking for us. Life is rather crazy for me right now. So much to do and with our termite problems right now, caring for mom and vertigo, I haven't had time to visit blogs at all. Sigh... I hope things settle down in 2024.
